Delete your Seroa account
This page explains how to delete your Seroa account and exactly what is removed.
Seroa is a nutrition planning app published on the Apple App Store and Google Play. You can delete your account and its data yourself, from inside the app, in a few seconds.
The fastest way: delete it in the app
- Open Seroa and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Scroll to Account.
- Tap Delete account & data and confirm.
This runs immediately and cannot be undone. You do not need to email anyone, and you do not need to wait for us.
If you cannot use the app
If you have lost access to your device or cannot sign in, you can ask us to delete the account for you.
Request account deletion by email
Send your request to support@twilightzero.com from the email address the account was created with, and say that you want the account deleted.
We have to check it is really you first. Deletion is permanent, so we will verify that the request comes from the account holder before doing anything — usually by confirming it from the account's own email address. If we cannot establish that, we will not delete the account, because doing so would let a stranger destroy someone else's data.
An emailed request is not instant. We aim to act on verified requests promptly. Deleting the account yourself in the app is immediate, and is the better route whenever you can still sign in.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account removes your sign-in identity and every record attached to it:
- Your profile — name, date of birth, sex, height, weight and targets, goals, preferences, allergies, dietary and cuisine preferences, locale and timezone settings
- Your meals, meal items and meal scans
- Your plans, planned meals and plan generations
- Saved and repeated meals
- Weight entries, water entries and fasting sessions
- Challenges and grocery lists
- Everything Seroa's personal food model learned about you — its evidence, behavioural statistics and learned conclusions
- Your AI usage records
- Your stored meal and label images, any voice files, and any data exports you generated
What is kept, and why
We would rather be exact than say "everything is erased" when it is not:
- A record that a subscription event happened. Seroa keeps only a small record of each subscription event — the provider's reference for it, the kind of event, which product and entitlement it concerned, whether it was a test or a live purchase, and when it happened. The provider's original message, which carries purchase and transaction details, is never stored. When your account is deleted the account identifier is removed from those records, leaving nothing that points back to you. The event reference has to stay so that if the provider re-sends the same message we do not process it twice.
These remaining records contain no meals, no photos, no health information, no profile data, and no identifier that points back to you.
Backups held by our hosting provider may retain copies for a period after deletion before they age out. That is a property of the hosting platform rather than something Seroa keeps for its own use.
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google. Cancel yours in your App Store or Google Play account settings, otherwise it will keep renewing. The support page has the steps.
Getting your data first
Deletion is permanent, so export first if you want to keep anything. In the app: Profile → Export my data. See the Privacy Policy for what the export contains.
